Kao Rad Gaeng (Curry and Rice)

Kao Rad Gaeng is a very popular dish across Thailand.  It is a quick, easy, tasty, and inexpensive dish which make it perfect for people living on small budget.  There are several kinds of curry to be served with this dish including Pa-nang, Mus-sa-mun, Red curry and etc.  Selected choice of curry is poured over the steamed rice.  The aroma of curries are from spices including lemongrass, chili, galangal, garlic, and etc in the curry paste.  Protein to be cooked in curries are pork, chicken, beef, seafood, and tofu.  Each original curry also have its own specific vegetables which can be green brinjal, different kinds of eggplants, bamboo shoot, chili pepper, and etc.
